Design resolution:
The new playground design for Chalmers Road SSP started in September 2019. The initial design driver was to create an inclusive playground for students with different special needs. We worked with CTLA to come up with the landscape design, and the concept was to generate different play zones and circulation zones by proposing different ground materials.
Shade sails and a new roof are proposed to provide shelter to the playground. We had a collaboration session with the school principal to select the equipment based on students’ special needs to ensure each student could enjoy the playground in their own special way.
